Her father Yeo Hong-Chul represented the Republic of Korea in artistic gymnastics. He won a silver medal on vault at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, and also won gold on vault at the 1994 and 1998 Asian Games. Her mother Kim Yoon-Ji represented the Republic of Korea in artistic gymnastics and won a bronze medal in the team event at the 1994 Asian Games in Hiroshima, Japan.
