FROM MEXICO TO THE NETHERLANDS
She began representing the Netherlands in 2018, having moved to Europe the year before to live with her partner, and Dutch international archer, Mike Schloesser. Bayardo had competed in the sport for Mexico earlier in her career, including at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro where she placed 17th in the women's individual event. "We first tried a remote relationship. Not only did it cost a lot of money, but it was also coming at the expense of our sport. The archery went less well at that time. We wanted to live together. First we talked about Mexico, but Mike didn't like that idea. Then it was very simple for me. I'm coming to the Netherlands. That was the best solution for everyone. I can be a top athlete here.
