General
OCCUPATION
She works for the German federal police as part of a programme for elite athletes that allows her to concentrate on archery. "The head of the police sports school allowed me in September 2019 to suspend my police training, so that I could fully concentrate on my sport and the chance to compete at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. At the moment [March 2020] archery is my job. I can train 365 days a year and I have been doing that for a few months. My entire focus is on sport." (Clever Fuhren YouTube channel, 31 Oct 2019; br.de, 25 Mar 2020)

A BOOK IN HER QUIVER
She always carries a small notebook in her quiver, in which she records data, analysis and details about her training and competitions. She starts a new book each season, and says it serves as an important reference source as well as a motivational tool. "If I notice anything while shooting, I write it on the documentation page of the training. After competitions I analyse my notes and sometimes special pressure situations become visible and I can start to develop strategies for future competitions to deal with certain situations more routinely. There is no better place for that than the book, which I always carry in my quiver. It also helps with motivation. Sometimes it is quotes, sayings or lyrics that build me up, motivate me or give me a boost. I write all the things that are good for me in my book. It also includes the score sheets of my greatest successes, which I look at from time to time and which can really push me." (bow-international.com, 19 Feb 2020)
