SWITCHING SPORTS
Disappointed to miss out on selection for the Chinese short track team ahead of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, she took some time away from the sport to travel to Indonesia and Malaysia. Watching the 2018 Olympic Winter Games from her hotel room, she was inspired to switch sports by the success of Lee Seung-Hoon (KOR) and Jorien ter Mors (NED), who both have backgrounds in short track and went on to win gold medals in speed skating in PyeongChang.
