Father Robert Dubreuil (Speed skating, short track): Competed in the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games in short track speed skating (demonstration sport) and at Albertville 1992 as a speed skater (14th). Won three short track relay medals at the World Championships, with one gold (1984), two silvers (1986, 1989), and won Allround bronze in 1986. Was 14th overall at the 1989 World Sprint Championships in Heerenveen.

Mother Ariane Loignon (Speed skating, short track): Competed in all five distances at the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games, with a best finish of 14th in the 1500m. Finished 11th overall at the 1988 World Allround Championships in Skien. Won short track relay gold at the 1986 World Championships in Chamonix.

Brother Daniel Dubreuil (Speed skating): Competed at three successive World Junior Championships (2012-14), with a best finish of ninth in 2014 (1000m). Canadian Junior Champion in 2013 and 2014.

Milestones

Finished fourth in the 500m at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

Became the second Canadian to win the 500m world title (first was Jeremy Wotherspoon in 2008), after winning at the 2021 World Championships in Heerenveen. Also, the third skater from Quebec to win a world title after Gaetan Boucher and Sylvain Bouchard. Competed at six previous World Championships, with two bronze medals, before winning in 2021.

Finished the 2020/21 World Cup season ranked second in the 500m, jumping one place from 2019/20, and finished third in the 1000m the past two seasons (first time in the top-three since 2015). Finished on the podium in seven of his past nine starts.

Three World Junior Championships medals, with gold (500m 2012), silver (500m 2011) and bronze (1000m 2012). Finished fourth in both the 500m and 1000m in 2010.

National record holder in the team sprint (1:17.31), set in December 2017. Holds the national junior record for 500m (34.66).

Won the 500m and 100m National Championship titles in 2019 (runner-up in 2020).
