Brother Philip Due Schmidt (Speed skating, Inline speed skating): Competed in the mass start at the 2021 World Single Distances Championships (disqualified). Raced at four European Championships from 2019-22, finishing eighth in the mass start in 2022. Competed at multiple World and European Inline Speed Skating Championships, finishing fifth in the marathon at the 2017 European Championships.

Inline speed skating: Dual gold medallist at the 2011 European Junior Championships. Finished seventh in the track 10000m elimination points race at the 2019 World Roller Games in Barcelona. Two fourth-place finishes at the European Championships in track relay (2015) and the marathon (2017).
