Sister Roxanne Dufter (Speed skating): Competed at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, finishing sixth in the team pursuit. Bronze medal (team pursuit) at the 2018 European Single Distances Championships in Kolomna. Three World Cup podium finishes in the team pursuit.
Short track speed skating: Competed at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Melbourne, placing eighth in the relay.

Initially played ice hockey, like his father, but when his sister Roxanne pressed him to try speed skating, he liked it. He also competed in short track, but finally picked speed skating, as it also allowed him to stay in Inzell. (berchtesgadener-anzeiger.de, 2018)
Competing at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games and winning a silver medal (1000m) at the 2020 World Sprint Championships in Hamar.
