Start:

Began snowboarding at age three in Perisher, NSW.

Reason:

Used to race in slalom, giant slalom and snowboard cross. "It was that base that allowed me to ride halfpipe when I was a little kid. As I got older I was able to start going bigger, and to me, that’s what riding pipe is about. Going big with all your tricks." (sequence-magazine.com, Feb 2021)

Grandfather Guido built a big air bag for him to train at home. "My grandparents missed me when I went away so they decided to make something I could snowboard on at home so I didn’t have to travel as much, therefore I could spend more time with them. SACRIFICES
Admits that being separated from his family, while travelling around the world as a teenager, has been a major sacrifice. "I talk to my family daily, but it’s not quite the same as being with them, getting a pat on the back, a hug goodnight, or just those little interactions you take for granted." Milestones

Competed in halfpipe at the 2019 Junior World (10th) and 2021 World Championships (11th).

Produced a top-10 finish of eighth in his World Cup debut in 2021 (Laax), his best result to date.

Set the highest snowboard air record in March 2021, reaching 7.3m in Laax, one day before his 16th birthday. The previous record (7m) was set in 2010 by three-time Olympic halfpipe champion Shaun White (USA).

At age 11, he became the youngest snowboarder to land a double backflip.

At age 13, he won the US Open Junior Jam in Vail and the World Rookie Tour Slopestyle.
