Started skiing at age three with his mother, then switched to snowboarding at age eight at Netherlands' indoor slopes of "Alpine Sports" and "Snowworld".
Picked snowboard cross over slopestyle at age 14 because of the adrenaline rush. "I liked to ride freestyle and cruise around the resorts, hitting the piste sides' rollers, going fast, racing my friends, and I did not like being judged for my tricks so that's why I picked SBX: first-person down wins!"
