General Interest

ALEX "CHUMPY" PULLIN
She met Alex "Chumpy" Pullin when she was 11 and he was a huge role model for her whole life, him having taken her under his wing. "Even after I moved away from snowboard cross he always kept supporting me. It was so tragic when we lost Chumpy and it affected me quite a lot because he has been my number one role model forever." (Snowbeat TV magazine, Mar 2021)

COVID-19 HARD TIMES AND SNOWBOARDING
Really realizes how privileged she is to be in the position she's in. "Lots of people don’t get these opportunities we (snowboarders) have and I think before that [COVID-19] I didn’t acknowledge it enough, how privileged I am to be in this position to be riding, travelling the world and especially in these times because, especially in Australia, there’s a lot of people stuck at home. I think this season more than ever I'll just try to do it for the people at home, do it with a smile on my face." (Snowbeat TV magazine, Mar 2021)

PYEONGCHANG 2018 OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES EXPERIENCE
At 17 years old, she was the youngest athlete on Australia's Olympic team at PyeongChang 2018 and was all set to make her Olympic debut in the slopestyle event, when she tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), in practice. "For me, it was pretty hectic, I did have a really great experience despite getting injured, it was super new, super fun, pretty eye-opening what competing on that level kind of is, especially when the whole world is watching it." (NSW Institute of Sport YouTube, Sep 2019)
