Began skiing at age two and learned snowboarding at age five. “Dad was a ski instructor and mum and he were doing back-to-back seasons from Jindabyne to Saint Moritz and because they loved it so much, we were destined to follow in their footsteps”. Her father ran snowboard camps and the family would go to Mammoth, CA. In 2015, she began to take it more seriously as she started to secure good results. (owia.org)
"Skiing was my thing until about three years ago, when I made the switch to snowboarding. I loved ski racing but it is really competitive, and I was winning a fair few of the snowboard events I was competing in. So, after getting onto NSWIS [NSW Institute of Sport] I decided to swap disciplines." (olympics.com.au, 27 Oct 2021)
Winning snowboard cross gold at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne: "The Youth Olympic Games were incredible. The weather was perfect, we met so many other athletes from other countries. It was just the best experience of my life." (olympics.com.au, 27 Oct 2021)
