March 2017: Broke his forearm while training during the morning of the day he was supposed to make his World Cup debut in Veysonnaz, Switzerland. Was unable to compete at the event and returned to competition at the start of the 2017/18 season. (info 2018)

Milestones

Silver medallist at Beijing 2022 in snowboard cross. Bronze medallist in mixed team snowboard cross (with Meryeta Odine).

Made his Olympic Winter Games debut at PyeongChang 2018 as a 16-year-old, making him the youngest man and second-youngest athlete on Team Canada at those Games.

Won the bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships in what was a very close big final. He was joined on the podium by Spain’s Lucas Eguibar (gold) and Austria’s Alessandro Haemmerle (silver). 2021 Junior World champion and two-time silver medallist (2018, 2019).

Has three career World Cup medals, the first two were silvers (January 2020 and 2021), and his third, his first victory, came in March 2021 (Bakuriani).
