May 2017: Underwent surgery after breaking two collar bones. Three-month rehabilitation.
August 2016: Tweaked his knee on landing a jump, damaged cartilage and needed surgery to repair it. A four-month break followed.
Started snowboarding at age seven on a family holiday. Got his first sponsors at age 12. Moved away from home at age 16 to a snowboard school in Malung, Sweden. (bontena.com, 24 Oct 2018)
Older brother was a skier and had tried snowboarding so he wanted to try it too. "As a four year younger rookie snowboarder this made me having to step up my game to keep up with my older brother on everything in the slopes, if he did a jump, I had to do it, too.
