"In snowboarding there's never really a top, there's always gonna be something more and in life there's always something more. Since I was a kid my parents taught me that and I learnt that, and it's been something that strived me to be a better person in life is that I can always be better. So I can always be better in snowboarding too, and I'm gonna work to be there." (FIS Snowboarding YouTube, 24 Dec 2019)

General Interest

BEHIND THE CAMERA

LOST GEAR
In January 2021, at the World Cup Big Air in Kreischberg, he finished 16th overall and failed to reached the final for only the second time in his career (first was Quebec City 2017). It also broke a streak of four consecutive podium finishes, and eight of the past nine (finished ninth in Bejing 2018). His disappointing performance came after his gear was lost in transit and he had to borrow equipment that he was unfamiliar with. (summitdaily.com, 1 Feb 2021)
