TRAGEDY AND COMEBACK
In 2015 her then coach and boyfriend Ben Jolly died one year after being diagnosed with brain cancer. "I spent half a year without touching a board, living at my parents' place in Sabadell. I did not know what to do, I was lost. Nothing was the same as before hence I had to reconsider everything." A Swiss coach encouraged her to join him in training. "That's where I saw I had to continue on. (Snowboarding) was what made me smile and be happy." She then travelled to New Zealand to train with coach Benjamin Bright, who encouraged her to compete in big air too. "He made everything look brand new. He proposed a radical change of what had been my routine to change my mentality. When time arrived to get back into competition it was very satisfying." (Info 2018)

She became the first Spanish snowboarder to win a world championship medal after claiming silver in women's halfpipe at the 2015 World Championships in Kreischberg, Austria. She is also the most awarded Spanish snowboarder and overall winter sport athlete in history.
