Winning parallel slalom silver at the 2019 World Championships in Park City. "I did it, finally. I truly believed that I could win a [World Championship] media and I did. I have been a participant in cups, World Championships and three Olympic Games for ten years, and finally such a high result."
"I wanted to win a medal. Probably no one but me believed it. But all January I was persistently preparing and hoping to show a high result. Before each start I prayed that I could get there first. It turned out that my rivals were wrong and I was clearly and steadily moving to the finish line." (Athlete, Apr 2021; glavcom.ua, 6 Feb 2019; ua.tribuna.com, 9 Feb 2019)
Sochi 2014 Olympic parallel giant slalom champion, Patrizia Kummer (SUI). "This girl is five years older than me. We went into the Vancouver Olympics on the same level, but Patricia did not go to the 2010 Games because she was not nominated by the country. Kummer was then ranked 30th in the world, had no chance of winning a medal and she was told that it was not worth going to participate.
"In fact, it was because Patricia didn't go that I was able to perform at my first Olympics. In the ranking I was 31st and did not have a licence (quota place). But in the next four-year cycle, Kummer prepared so well that she won three Big Crystal Globes and gold at the Sochi Games. Patricia is incredibly hardworking. She goes to the goal in spite of everything." (glavcom.ua, 6 Feb 2019)
