Started snowboarding at age 12 together with a schoolmate. (Athlete, Apr 2021)

At age 19, started snowboarding instructor school and during a lesson, an instructor asked him if he wanted to give it a try and train with the athletes of the Italian National Snowboard Cross Team. His run times were slightly slower than those of the athletes, and in just over a year he was called up to compete on the World Cup tour. (Athlete, Apr 2021)
