General Interest

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Selected to compete at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, she withdrew on the day (February 16), citing "knee problems." (Instagram, 16 Feb 2018).

THOUGHTS OF RETIREMENT
After her fourth anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear, she considered retiring. "I thought of retiring but I wanted to compete at the Olympics (2018) so I gave everything and although I didn't make it, I managed to start over again." (sportdonna.it, Mar 2019)

INJURIES
Torn her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) twice in both knees. The first time at age 15. "The first time I was young, so I didn't realize the gravity of the situation. The second time was a bit harder because the rehabilitation is very long. The third was even harder because I was still very close to the second, but the fourth was the worst of all. It happened last year while preparing for the Olympic Games. Has been a very hard blow." (lavocedellevalli.it, 19 Feb 2019)
