General Interest

FIRST WORLD CUP WIN
Recorded his first World Cup win in February 2019, winning the parallel slalom on the Beijing 2022 Olympic course in Secret Garden. Coming one month after his first World Cup podium in Rogla (2nd - Parallel Giant Slalom), Bagozza defeated 2019 World champion Dmitry Loginov (RUS) in the final, 2019 silver medallist Roland Fischnaller (ITA) in the semifinal and the 2018 Olympic silver medallist Lee Sangho (KOR) in the quarterfinals. Previous best result in parallel slalom was 15th.

"In Rogla I learned that I can compete at these levels, here I put my teaching into practice." (gazzetta.it, 24 Feb 2019)

"Yeah, I'm really happy, it's my first World Cup win, in my first World Cup season. It came so quickly, I'm so happy. I really love the slope and the snow is perfect. I hope we have these conditions at the Olympic Games. This day for sure I will remember." (FIS Snowboarding YouTube, 24 Feb 2019)

CAREER FINANCES
Struggled to finance his snowboard career, working as a caretaker and night porter to support himself, before having the opportunity to join the police in 2019. "I have always said that if I hadn't joined a sports group by 25, I would have had to look for something else in my life. Now my goal is to compete freely, without pressure because it is the only way I know to make the most of my potential." (sportnews.bz, 12 Jul 2020)
