December 2018: Fractured right kneecap during practice on a rail at Dew Tour slopestyle competition. Underwent surgery and rehabilitation, came back after more than a year. "I was told that I might not be able to snowboard or walk again, and just to be back snowboarding for full is a crazy feeling now and I couldn’t be happier about that. It was for sure a long road to go, a lot of physio, training, surgeries but it all paid out in the end. I think I came back a little bit stronger, just with my mentality and the way that I ride now, I feel it’s better than what I did in 2018." (Snowbeat TV show, Mar 2021)
Started snowboarding at age three and a half following in his sister's footsteps. "I played a lot of video games so I kind of get inspired by that and I want to go snowboarding. My dad bought me a snowboard and we went up to the mountains and I hated it because it was so hard, I thought it was just the same as playing video games, that it was easy but it was not, so I quit snowboarding for half a year and skied, and then back to snowboarding and it was all good." (Snowbeat TV show, Mar 2021)
His favourite thing about snowboarding is to ride with friends and new people that are just as stoked as he is to shred. (nitrosnowboards.com, 14 Sep 2020)
"I just want to keep snowboarding, trying not to hurt myself and help everybody progress in this sport and have a good time." (Snowbeat TV show, Mar 2021)
Usually trains and practises new tricks at the local snowpark on his hometown hill. "It’s the perfect place for snowboarding and it’s just where I grew up. I have all my friends there and we have the perfect hill. The guy that runs it is super exceptional to me." (Snowbeat TV show, Mar 2021)
"I’m really scared to go for some tricks if it’s windy on a competition day or if it’s snowy and you can’t see and you have to throw the most crazy spins that you can. For sure it’s scary, but you just had to keep calm and proved to yourself that you can do this." (Snowbeat TV show, Mar 2021)
