Fifth World Championships gold medal at Rogla 2021. “It was a long-time goal to win five world championships gold medals and I had to wait over eight years since my last victory in Stoneham [2013 World Championships]. With the course of time, you realise that it might be not possible to actually fulfill that goal in a lifetime, so the feeling after crossing the finish line and knowing that I’m the world champion is probably the most unbelievable moment in my career.” (FIS Snowboard YouTube, March 2021)

General Interest

LONG CAREER
The secret to a long career is that snowboarders don't have as many injuries as Alpine skiers. "In Alpine skiing, you have to stop (your career) because your knee is destroyed or something else, while in Alpine snowboarding we don’t hurt ourselves so much and so we can ride for longer years without pain and being strong in your 40s like Andreas (Prommegger, AUT) and Roli (Roland Fischnaller, ITA)." (Snowbeat TV Magazine, February 2021)

FUTURE AFTER RETIREMENT
His goal is to stay involved in sport. "The most important thing for me in the future is that I can have a life in sports, I want to be in an environment where I can do sport, teach people something in sports, that’s my biggest goal after snowboarding." (Snowbeat TV Magazine, February 2021)
