Ski jumper Gregor Schlierenzauer (AUT), four-time Olympic medallist (2010 team gold, 2014 team silver, 2010 individual bronzes), 10-time world champion (two individual, eight team), record 53 individual World Cup wins. Won his first World Cup in 2006 at the age of 16 in Lillehammer, which is also where he won his last World Cup in 2014. (Athlete, Jan 2022)

Milestones

Silver medallist in the large hill team event his debut Olympic Winter Games in Beijing 2022. Other team members were Cene Prevc, Peter Prevc, and Timi Zajc. In the individual events, he finished 11th in large hill and 28th in normal hill.

Scored his first World Cup points in his second World Cup, in March 2021 in Planica (flying hill - 27th). First top-10 result in December 2021 in Wisla (large hill - eighth). First podium (third) during the Four Hills Tournament on 1 January 2022 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. One World Cup win with the team, January 2022 in Zakopane.

Finished overall seventh in his first Four Hills Tournament. Finishing 25th in the third leg ruined his chances for an even better overall result. In all other legs, he finished top-10 (in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, he was third).

Competed in four out of eight events in the Summer Grand Prix 2021, with two top-20 results. Six top-10 results in the 2021/22 winter season, including his first podium.

Currently ranked 15th in the overall World Cup.
