Spends as much as eight months on the road, so the Canadian women's team has a house and their own car in Adergas (SLO), near Kranj. With the closure of the jumps in Calgary (a legacy from the Calgary 1988 Olympic Winter Games) and the limited window that (jumps in) Whistler can be open, they had no choice but to go live and train in Slovenia. "And it has really raised the bar on our daily training environment. It has worked out well, but it’s a long time for athletes to be away,” Ski Jumping Canada president Todd Stretch.
