Basketball player Kobe Bryant (USA), two-time Olympic champion (Beijing 2008, London 2012), played his entire 20-year career for the Los Angeles Lakers. Died in 2020 in a helicopter crash. Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games team bronze medallist, after making his Olympic debut at Torino 2006 and another appearance in Vancouver 2010 (31st normal hill, 19th large hill). In the normal hill competition at PyeongChang 2018, he was leading after the first round, but then failed his second jump and fell back, missed the podium, and finished fifth. "It is always on my mind, probably will be for the rest of my life, you cannot erase something like this. I came so close to the fulfillment of a childhood dream." (sport.vp.pl, Jan 15, 2022)

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Competed at three World Championships (2009, 2011, 2019), his best results being team fourths in all three years.

At five Ski Flying World Championships (2006, 2008, 2010, 2016, 2018), he was a member of the bronze medal-winning team in 2018.

2004 Junior World Championships team silver medallist.

WORLD CUP
Since his debut in 2005, his best overall ranking was 13th in 2017/18. With nine individual top-10 results, his best is fourth in Zakopane (large hill) in January 2018. Has seven podium finishes with the team, one victory, also in Zakopane in January 2018.

SEASON 2021/22
Competed in four out of eight events in the Summer Grand Prix 2021 and finished overall 33rd. In winter he scored his first World Cup points in Zakopane (large hill) in January when he finished 27th.

Was relegated to the Continental Cup but fought his way back into the World Cup during the season. (sport.vp.pl, 15 Jan 2022)
