Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Olympic champion 2022 in the large hill event. With this he ended a 58-year-long gap since Norway had won the large hill event for the last time (in 1964, when the large hill event was added to the Olympic agenda for the first time and Toralf Engan won it in Innsbruck).
Finished seventh in the normal hill event 2022 and eighth in the mixed team event, after Anna Odine Stroem and Silje Opseth had been disqualified in the second round (suit). Fourth team member was Robert Johansson.

Two-time silver medallist at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games (normal hill, mixed team).

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Has a pair of sixth-place finishes in his World Championships debut in 2021 (large hill team).

Four-time Junior World Championship medallist winning two gold (2018 normal hill and team), one silver (2016 team), and one bronze (2018 team).

WORLD CUP
18 individual podium finishes of which six are wins, his first was on New Year's Day, 1 January 2020, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Best overall result was in 2019/20 when he finished seventh (10th in 2020/21).

FOUR HILLS TOURNAMENT
First World Cup win in Garmisch-Partenkirchen 2020 laid the basis for his second overall rank in the 2019/20 edition. Won also the third leg of the tournament in Innsbruck.
In 2021/22 he finished second again, behind Ryoyu Kobayashi (JPN), who won three out of four legs.

SEASON 2021/22
Overall fourth in the Summer Grand Prix with competing in only four out of the eight competitions. Has the best season of his career with eigth podium finishes, three of them wins. Out of the last four World Cups he competed in, he won three (Bischofshofen, Zakopane and Willingen, all large hill) and finished third once. He missed the Titisee-Neustadt World Cups because of COVID-19 cases within the Norwegian team.
Currently ranked fourth in the overall World Cup, seven points behind his teammate Halvor Egner Granerud.
