8 April 2021: Surgery on his collarbone fracture suffered during his 25 March 2021 crash. (insidethegames.biz, 12 Apr 2021)
25 March 2021: Broken collarbone, lung injuries, and was rendered unconscious for a while when he lost control over his left ski as he set off at 100 kilometres per hour, rotated in the air and landed heavily on the slope, sliding all the way down the hill in the ski flying World Cup in Planica. Was airlifted by helicopter to Ljubljana Medical Centre where he was intubated and mechanically ventilated. Was woken from the medically induced coma a few days later. Came back in August 2021 and participated in the last leg of the Summer Grand Prix in Klingenthal. "Waiting for the first jumps was awful. I felt that I was ready to jump long before I was given the green light. I knew why I had to wait, but it was a bit difficult for me to watch my teammates jump. 2018: Stevens-Johnson syndrome (rare, serious disorder of the skin and mucous membranes), causing him to lose a lot of weight and had to pause training during the summer, but was back for the World Cup start in the winter. (n-tv.de)
