Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES

Beijing 2022 team gold medal (large hill) with Manuel Fettner, Jan Hoerl, and Daniel Huber.

In Beijing 2022, he finished 10th in the normal hill event, 13th in large hill. Fifth in the mixed team event with Manuel Fettner, Lisa Eder and Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (who was disqualified in the first round for a suit violation). He had won both rounds within his group.

Made his Olympic Winter Games debut at PyeongChang 2018, finishing fourth in the team event, and had two top-20 finishes individually.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
In five World Championships appearances (2013-21), he has won 12 medals (five individual, seven team). Of the five individual medals, three are gold (two in 2017, one in 2021), two are normal hill bronze (2015, 2019). The seven team medals are all silver and bronze, no gold, the latest coming in the 2021 team event (11.1 points behind the champions from Germany).

Two-time bronze medallist at the 2015 Ski-Flying World Championships (individual, team).

Four-time Junior World Championships medallist winning one gold (2011 team), one silver (2011 normal hill), and two bronze (2012 team, 2013 normal hill).

In nine seasons he has scored 22 individual World Cup wins, eight of them in 2016/17, and his first in Oberstdorf in 2014 (large hill) on the first leg of the Four Hills Tournament. He has won the overall World cup twice (2016/17, 2019/20).

SEASON 2021/22
Competed in three of eight stations of the Summer Grand Prix 2021, winning in Courchevel. Started well into the winter season with three third places and one win (Klingenthal, large hill) within the first five events, but struggled with his form later on. He took some time out, away from the World Cup for special training. In Willingen (large hill), the last event before the Olympic Winter Games, he finished sixth.
