Milestones

OLYMPIC GAMES
Team gold medal (large hill) in his debut in Beijing 2022, together with Manuel Fettner, Stefan Kraft, and Daniel Huber.
Finished ninth in the large hill event and 19th in normal hill.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Competed at two World Championships (2019, 2021) winning team silver medal in 2021, with his individual best finish of 10th (2021 large hill).

Two-time 2018 Junior World Championship team medallist (silver team, bronze mixed team), and individually finished fifth in the normal hill.

WORLD CUP
Scored his first World Cup points in his 2019 debut in Innsbruck (29th) at the Four Hills Tournament.

2021/22 turned out to be his best career season, already starting in summer when he finished the Summer Grand Prix overall third with only competing in four out of eight events.

In winter, after continuously showing only one excellent jump in the first five competitions and falling back in the second round, in Wisla he had a fall in the trial round and then produced two good jumps for this first victory.

He stands now at three podium finishes (one first and two third places). In 2021/22 he had six top-five results and is currently ranked seventh in the overall World Cup.

OTHER
His win in Wisla ended a 646-day-long drought without a World Cup win for Austria. The last winner before him was Stefan Kraft in Lahti on 28 February 2020. (kurier.at)
