His enthusiasm for skeleton started at age 15 in 2009, when he took part in a youth project by the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) and the Swiss Bobsleigh, Luge and Skeleton Sports Association (Swiss Sliding). Tried out a run on the Olympic track in St. Moritz. "From the very first ride, I was gripped by the feeling of speed and precision on the track and it has not let me go to this day."
