Sister Ayaka Kikuchi (Speed skating): Two-time Olympian (2014-18), winning team pursuit gold at PyeongChang 2018. Team pursuit World Championship gold medallist in 2015. Former world record holder in the team pursuit. Coach for the Japanese Skating Federation.
Sister Yuki Kikuchi (Short track): PyeongChang 2018 Olympian (sixth in relay with Sumire). Back-to-back World Championship appearances (2018-19), finishing fifth in the relay both times. Three World Cup podiums (all relays), with Sumire each time and Moemi twice.
Sister Moemi Kikuchi (Short track): Sochi 2014 Olympian, but did not start in the relay. 2017 World Championship relay bronze medallist, with Sumire.
Brother-in-law Keiichiro Nagashima (Speed skating): Three-time Olympian (2006-14), winning 500m silver at Vancouver 2010. Two World Sprint Championship medals (2009 silver, 2010 bronze). Head coach of the Japanese short track team. Married to Ayaka.
Speed skating: Dual bronze medallist a the Innsbruck 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games, in the 1500m and mass start. Also competed in short track at those Games, winning one bronze.
