Studying one or two courses per semester at a general and vocational college. "Our schedules are full, we have to set some things aside. 2018 World Cup in Calgary (500m - 8th, 1000m - 19th, Mixed Relay - 6th)
August 2017: Knee injury after a three-man fall in A-Final of the 1500m at the 2018 Canadian team trials. He was able to continue, although he did not bother the top three finishers, and came third in the second 1500m race the next day.
2016
Started skating at age 11 in Terrebonne. "We skated in Terrebonne, sometimes in Repentigny, at 6am on Sunday mornings. I would wake up in the car!" (ici.radio-canada.ca, 31 Oct 2019)
Wanted to play ice hockey, but his parents objected to the aggressive atmosphere and signed him up for short track instead. "They said, 'We don't like the atmosphere in the hockey stands, the parents yelling all the time.'" (tvasports.ca, 2 Nov 2018)

Two or three sessions a day during the off-season at the National Training Centre (CNCP) in Montreal. "It's intense, with two to three workouts per day. We work in phases.
