General Interest

NEW FOCUS
"I've definitely learned how to calm myself down going into a race, how to focus on myself and give myself positive talk, things like that. One thing that has helped is keeping a training log, a notebook where I write down everything I do in practices. It's a physical representation of how hard I've worked and how far I've come, a reminder of what I am capable of." (teamusa.org)

POST-CAREER PLANS
Hopes to pursue a career as a physical therapist. (teamusa.org)

DIET
Has been a vegetarian her whole life and now has an entirely plant-based diet. Her favourite food is vinegar, which she has on almost everything she eats. (teamusa.org, kristensantos.com)

TATTOOS
Has a small smiley face tattoo on the bottom of one of her toes. (teamusa.org)

PET PALS
Has two huskies named Bear and Koda. (kristensantos.com)

PUFF NICKNAME
Was in her first year of training (in the spring) with Team USA in Utah, and she started breaking out in hives every day. "I went to practice one day and my face was all swollen, so I started getting called ‘Puff Daddy’, and it just stuck and everyone calls me Puff now. There are literally people who don’t know what my real name is, they just know me as ‘Puff’.” (isu.org, 9 Sep 2020)
