Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Four-time Olympian, his first start was in Torino 2006, on the day he turned 16.

In Vancouver 2010 he won the bronze medal in the normal hill/10km, the first Italian to win a Nordic combined Olympic medal.

In Sochi 2014 he finished fourth in the same event (normal hill/10km).

At PyeongChang 2018, in the large hill/10km, he won the ski phase, but had been a non-factor in the jump and finished 27th. His best result was eighth with the team.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Competed in seven World Championships, winning a silver medal in 2015 in the normal hill/10km. Additionally, he has12 top-10 results with the team and team sprint, one individual sixth place (large hill/10km) in 2009, but no other podium finish.

Three-time gold medallist at Junior World Championships. In 2008 and 2009 he won the normal hill/10km, and in 2009 the normal hill/5km race.

WORLD CUP
First Italian to win a World Cup race, which he did in Chaux-Neuve in 2012 when he won three World Cups on three consecutive days. These are his only three World Cup wins so far. “This is really nice for me, but also for Italy and my team. He stands at a total of 13 individual podium finishes, the last one in December 2017, in Ramsau when he finished second.

SEASON 2021/22
Has scored points in only three events and is currently ranked 50th in the overall World Cup.
