Goals for season 2021/22: "When you go to the Olympic Winter Games, the goal is always a medal, but for the moment, I want to regularly finish top 10 in the World Cup."
Career goal: To win a medal at a major event in the team event. (Athlete, Sep 2021)
Varies his aerobic training. Does not like routines and loves to discover new things. "Generally my friends and my teammates know that the training will certainly not be planned, and some adventure can happen." (Athlete, Sep 2021)
"Third with the team in Lillehammer (World Cup 2017), top-five in Ruka (World Cup 2017), and eighth at the World Championships in Seefeld (large hill/10km, 2019), which I think was my best competition in my career. Emotionally, the World Cup in Chaux-Neuve is an amazing experience every year. I had my first top-10 result there and finished fourth with the team." (Athlete, Sep 2021)
No particular role models, but his older teammates Jason Lamy Chappuis, Francois Braud, and Maxime Laheurte (all FRA) have been a source of inspiration.
Braud and Laheurte were part of the French gold medal team in the World Championships in 2013. Braud won another team gold medal in 2015. Both have since retired.
Former Nordic combined skier Jason Lamy Chappuis (FRA/USA), 2010 Olympic champion, five-time World champion, and three-time overall World Cup winner. He retired from Nordic combined in 2018 and became a commercial airline pilot. (Athlete, Sep 2021)
"I have been a sports fan since I was little and all big sportsmen and women have inspired me."
Cyclists Thibaut Pinote (FRA) and 2006 Olympian and 2020 world road champion Julian Alaphilippe (FRA). (Athlete, Sep 2021)
