"Third with the team in Lillehammer (World Cup 2017), top-five in Ruka (World Cup 2017), and eighth at the World Championships in Seefeld (large hill/10km, 2019), which I think was my best competition in my career. Hero:

No particular role models, but his older teammates Jason Lamy Chappuis, Francois Braud, and Maxime Laheurte (all FRA) have been a source of inspiration.

Braud and Laheurte were part of the French gold medal team in the World Championships in 2013. Braud won another team gold medal in 2015. Both have since retired.

Former Nordic combined skier Jason Lamy Chappuis (FRA/USA), 2010 Olympic champion, five-time World champion, and three-time overall World Cup winner. He retired from Nordic combined in 2018 and became a commercial airline pilot. (Athlete, Sep 2021)

General Interest

COVID-19
In January 2021, he was sent back to France for a battery of tests after some sub-par performances following his recovery from COVID-19. The federation wanted to check if there was a link between the two. "His level is not normal and cannot only be linked to a preparation error," Jerome Laheurte, director of ski jumping and Nordic combined at the FFS, said. (nordicmag.info, 2 Jan 2021)

Milestones

Made his Olympic Winter Games debut at PyeongChang 2018, finishing fifth in team, where he was the youngest member by nine years.

Competed at four World Championships (2015-21) with an individual best result of eighth in 2019 in Seefeld (large hill/10km). He has finished sixth three times in the team event.

At the 2015 Junior World Championships, his top result was fifth in team and eighth in individual.

In the World Cup, he has four top-10 results to date, still waiting for his first individual podium finish. One podium in team, a third in Lillehammer 2017.

2021/22:
His best season result is 14th in Seefeld in the normal hill/7.5km event on the first day of the Seefeld Triple in Austria.
Overall he is currently ranked 34th.
