Milestones

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Beijing 2022 bronze medallist in the normal hill/10km event in his Olympic debut. "I just ran for my life. I have never before exhausted myself that much, I had near-death experiences. It was the hardest race of my life, but I knew I would just run until I cannot run anymore. And it was worth it all." (oe24.at)

Finished fifth in the large hill/10km event in Beijing 2022.

Fourth in the team event (large hill/4x5km) with Franz-Josef Rehrl, Johannes Lamparter, and Fritz Martin, in which they had won the ski jumping part, but eventually missed the podium ranks by 4.4 seconds.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Made his World Championships debut in 2021 in Oberstdorf, winning two medals, one gold and one bronze. Claimed Austria's first-ever World Championships gold medal in the team sprint (with newly-crowned individual World champion Johannes Lamparter) after they were just two seconds behind the Japanese on the cross-country skiing start line, and finished 39.6 seconds ahead of Espen Andersen and Jarl Magnus Riiber of Norway, who claimed silver. In the team event, he skied the last leg for the bronze medal-winning Austrian team of Lamparter, Lukas Klapfer, and Mario Seidl.
