Father Hans Kohala (Luge): Two-time Olympian (1992, 1994). His sixth place with doubles partner Carl-Johan Lindquist is Sweden's best result in the sport. Serves as president of the Swedish Luge Association.
Brother Svante Kohala (Luge): Finished 12th at the Lillehammer 2016 Youth Olympic Winter Games. Three World Championship appearances, with a best finish of 19th in 2021 (fifth in U23). Competed in the World Cup since 2018/19 with two top-20 finishes.
Sister Johanna Kohala (Luge): Member of Sweden's youth squad.

Followed her brother into the sport, despite their father's reservations. "It was almost over my dead body to let them into the toboggan world," Hans said. "I know what a hard job it is to be a toboggan rider and how much it requires of the riders themselves and of the surroundings. So I was against in the beginning.
