Started training at age 12 against his father's wishes. "It was almost over my dead body to let them into the toboggan world," Hans said. "I know what a hard job it is to be a toboggan rider and how much it requires of the riders themselves and of the surroundings. So I was against in the beginning. But once we came [to Lillehammer's Olympic track] and I saw how happy they looked, I could not say no." (sverigesradio.se, 27 Feb 2016)
"It's speed and adrenaline. Tons of adrenaline." (sverigesradio.se, 27 Feb 2016)
