Mother Aiva Aparjode (nee Briede) (Luge/Bobsleigh): Competed in luge at an international level from 1996 to 2006. Finished 18th in singles at the Torino 2006 Olympic Winter Games. After the Games, she participated in bobsleigh for two seasons as both a driver and brakewoman. At the 2007 World Championships, she placed 18th in the two-woman and sixth in the team event.
Brother Kristers Aparjods (Luge): Has been competing at an international level since 2014. Won singles at the Lillehammer 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games and the 2017 Junior World Championships. Placed 11th in singles and sixth in the relay at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
Orienteering: Competing since childhood. At the 2015 Junior World Orienteering Championships, she was 15th in the relay. Won the Latvian Championships at age 14.
