Milestones

At the 2020 World Championships in Sochi, he and partner Vladislav Antonov won Russian Federation's first doubles gold medal in the sprint over Italians Emanuel Rieder/Simon Kainzwaldner and Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt (GER). They also took the silver medal in the doubles event.

In 2020 at the European Championships, became the first doubles team representing the Russian Federation to win a gold medal. Yevgeny Belousov/Alexander Belyakov - representing the Soviet Union - won the event in 1986. In 2018, Antonov/Denisiev also combined with Tatiana Ivanova and Semen Pavlichenko to win the continental championship in the relay.

In 2018/19, Antonov/Denisiev became the first doubles team from the Russian Federation to win a World Cup stage in their victory in Sochi to close out the season. Previously, Belousov/Belyakov - again, under the flag of the USSR - won the World Cup in Sarajevo in December 1987.
