Cousin Dominik Fischnaller (Luge): Two-time Olympian (2014, 2018) representing Italy. Finished fourth in singles at PyeongChang 2018 by 0.002 seconds. Three-time World Championship bronze medallist in singles (2017) and sprint (2017, 2020). European singles champion in 2020 (Lillehammer), with two additional bronze medals (2014, 2021), a gold (2019) and a silver (2020) medal in team relay.

Cousin Hans Peter Fischnaller (Luge): Competed in doubles at the World Cup from 2005-2014. Best overall finish of sixth in 2010/11 and one podium finish in 2010 (Calgary). Five World Championship appearances, finishing sixth in 2011.

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Made his Olympic Winter Games debut at PyeongChang 2018, finishing seventh, after being fifth in Runs 2 and 3.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Has six top-10 finishes in 10 World Championships starts (2015-21), his best being a pair of eighths in 2020 (singles) and 2021 (sprint singles).

WORLD CUP
Shared the overall sprint title in 2020/21 with Felix Loch (GER), after second-place finishes in Winterberg and Innsbruck. It was his first podium in three years, after his first win at the Winterberg singles in November 2017.

His first, and only other podium, came in November 2014, when he finished third at the Innsbruck sprint, sharing the podium with his cousin Dominik.

Has five total Junior World Cup career-podium finishes (all from 2012/13), including two individual and one team relay win.

EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Finished fifth at the 2020 European Championships in Lillehammer, his only top-10 result at this level.

Was crowned European junior champion in 2012, after finishing second in 2011, behind Dominik.
