Brother Hans Peter Fischnaller (Luge): Competed in doubles from 2005 to 2014. Five World Championship appearances, finishing sixth in 2011. Best overall World Cup finish was sixth in 2010/11 and recorded one podium finish in 2010 (Calgary).
Cousin Kevin Fischnaller (Luge): Competed at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. In 2020/21, shared the overall World sprint title with Felix Loch (GER).
2010 World Cup in Innsbruck (Singles - 12th)
Took up the sport in 2002. “We have a short luge track here in Meransen where athletes can practise their start technique. We spent lots of time there as children and got to know Emil Lechner (ITA). At some point, Emil took me, my sister and a friend to the track in Imst in the Austrian state of Tyrol.
