SWITCH TO DOUBLES
Having competed in singles at a junior level since 2015, he switched to doubles for the 2019/20 season, partnering with Armin Frauscher who also made the switch from singles.

The pair finished third in their first Nations Cup race in Innsbruck, winning the Oberhof Nations Cup in late January. After one top-10 World Cup finish in their first season, the duo achieved the feat 10 times during 2020/21, including two podiums and a fourth-place, to finish sixth in the overall standings.

YOUTH
Attended the Sportgymnasium in Dornbirn.

INJURY
On 7 February 2022, Mueller suffered a compound fracture in his left arm in a training crash prior to the start of the doubles competition at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. He underwent surgery in a Beijing hospital, and will not compete with partner Armin Frauscher at the Games. (then24.com, 7 Feb 2022)
