General Interest

PLAYING AS GOALTENDER
Was urged by her mother to play as a goaltender around age twelve, as that was the age in which physical contact began to be introduced into the sport (she played at the time on boys teams). "I watched too many of those boys kind of occasionally line up some girls," her mother Linda says. "That wasn’t something I was willing to let her experience. But as a goaltender those guys on our team protected her beautifully." (303magazine.com, 2 Oct 2018)
