EARLY NORTH AMERICAN CAREER
Attended Trinity College School in Port Hope, ON, Canada from 1995 to 1997 where he played hockey for two seaons before returning to Finland to play for the HIFK U20 program in 1997/98. Returned the following season to North America to play at the collegiate level at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA, as he felt he was not yet at the skill level to turn pro. (tcs.on.ca)
