Ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and medial collateral ligament (MCL) in her right knee when landing during the 2007 National Championships, spending the rest of the season in rehabilitation. She didn't tell her parents about her injury until more than two years later.

Milestones

At Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, became the first aerials skier to win two medals at a single Olympic Winter Games, with a gold in aerials and silver in mixed team aerials.

Also won a silver medal at Sochi 2014 in aerials, with her Chinese teammates finishing in fourth (Li Nina) and fifth (Cheng Shuang). Has two more top-10 finishes of sixth in her debut at Vancouver 2010, and ninth at PyeongChang 2018.

Six World Championships starts with six medals - winning one gold (2013), two silver (2009, 2011), and three bronze (2015, 2017, 2019).

2007 Junior World champion, with Chinese teammate Yang Yu winning the silver.

With over 70 World Cup starts, she has almost 50 podium finishes, with 27 victories, her most recent title on 5 January 2022 in Le Relais.

In December 2021, she moved to the top of the all-time aerials list surpassing Jacqui Cooper (AUS) with a win in Finland.

Finished the season ranked number 1 in aerials in 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021 (ongoing).

Enters Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games atop the World Cup standings.
