Her first experience with skis was when she was two years old. Her family travelled four hours by car every Friday so they could ski over the weekend. At 10 years old, she participated in her first competition. "We would drive to the mountains every weekend. When I was 10, they suggested I tried freestyle. I really didn't want it, I was scared, but I ended up loving it. Every winter we would move from Connecticut to Park City for me to train. It was a big sacrifice, but they wanted the best for me.
