Tommy Pyatt (NZL)
Older brother Miguel Porteous (Freestyle skiing - Halfpipe): Competed at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, two World Championships (2017, 2021), and two Junior World Championships (2014, 2015). Has seven top-10 finishes on the World Cup tour, including one podium, a second in halfpipe in 2018 (Copper Mountain).

2018: Torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee, just before the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games, where he went on to capture the bronze medal.
In his career, he has also broken his pelvis.

Nico’s parents took him and his brother Miguel to learn to ski in France as children, and have continued to chase the winter seasons with the boys training and competing in Breckenridge Vail Resort (USA) and Cardrona Alpine Resort (NZL). (sportzhub.com)
He was about 12 when he made the switch from ski racing to freeskiing and started chalking up some good results in national competitions. By the age of 13, he and his brother were training and competing year-round in Breckenridge (USA) and Cardrona (NZL) “I remember Miguel was inspired by our grandmother sending him a video of Chris Booth winning Red Bull Big Air when he was really little. I never watched the video, but I remember Miguel telling me about it. I was always learning from Miguel. We encouraged each other to try new tricks.” (redbull.com)
