Brother Hank Bilous (Big mountain skier): Professional competing on the Freeride World Tour (FWT). Former freestyle skier and was named to the 2017 New Zealand Freeride Team. Finished fourth in the 2015 Junior Freeride World Tour (Austria) and earned his first FWT podium in 2020, finishing second in Hakuba, Japan. (snowsports.co.nz)
Freeride skiing: In 2021, he placed second at the FWQT 4* in Engadin.
Marathon Running: Raced in five half-marathons (personal best of 1hr 26mins in 2017, finishing second in the 16-19 age group at the Queenston International Half Marathon). Completed his first full marathon in November 2020 (personal best of 3hrs 18mins). (Athlete, May 2021)
2014 World Cup in Breckenridge (Halfpipe - 30th)
September 2019: Broken collarbone caused by landing on a tourist who had dropped into the landing of the jump that he was hitting. Missed the first two competitions of the season.
2015
Grew up near New Zealand's Southern Alps, where his father was a heli-ski guide and avalanche safety instructor, and his mother, a midwife, also skied. Was first on skis at age two as it was a family activity. As he got older, his parents encouraged him and his brother to continue to spend time in the mountains. "Being the younger sibling I've always strived to beat my older brother in all aspects of life. The rivalry I shared with my brother transferred into competitions and I think it's really helped me to become a better competitor." (Info 2018)
At home in the backcountry, but even more so in the park and pipe, he decided to focus on the disciplines of halfpipe and slopestyle. "The creativity and the freedom of expression this sport brings. There is more structure around the sport today than when I first got into it, however, the way you want to ride your skis is entirely up to you as a rider". (snowsports.co.nz; Athlete, May 2021)
Win the X-Games, Olympic Winter Games, and multiple World Cup podiums in slopestyle.
Compete in the X-Games and the Freeride World Tour in the same season.

Freestyle skier Jossi Wells (NZL), fourth in halfpipe at Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. From the same hometown of Wanaka, and was the first professional skier he got to see and ride with in person.
