2017: Tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) at the World Cup in Sunny Valley Russia.

As a child, aspired to a career in Alpine skiing. At the age of 12, finished fourth in the Migros Grand Prix. Later competed in the Lauberhorn downhill. But always wanted more and set a benchmark: "If I'm not in a national team at the age of 18, I'll give up my career". As he didn't accomplish his dream, he quit skiing and started an apprenticeship as a structural draftsman. For a short time, he worked on the job and drafted the plans for his mother's chalet.
