General Interest

MOVING TO PARK CITY, UTAH
Left home at age 14 in order to pursue her skiing career, moving from Whitefish, Montana, to Park City, Utah. Her initial intent was to only stay for a few weeks. "Ever since then, I've come back to Montana in the summers but lived in Park City in the winters. I've been cooking meals for myself since I was 14. I'm very independent. Sometimes, I feel like I can't relate to people my own age." (powder.com, 23 Jan 2017; billingsgazette.com, 27 Jan 2017)

YOUNGEST
Youngest freestyle skier to win a Winter X Games medal, at age 15 and one month, although this record was beaten by Estonian freestyle skier Kelly Sildaru in 2016. (xgames.espn.com, 2016; usatoday.com, 12 Feb 2014; nbcsports.com, 26 Jan 2014)

Would have become the youngest USA winter Olympian since 1972 at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, however, a broken right fibula sustained in training while in the Russian Federation meant she was unable to compete in Sochi.

FILM PRODUCTION
In 2020, premiered her first-ever ski film, Swiftcurrent. She teamed up with Good Company’s Kyle Decker to piece together competition, backcountry, and lifestyle content. “I wanted this film to be about me pushing myself out of my usual park skiing element and comfort zones in a whole different way than I am used to."
